May 15, 2009 - Email sent to all respondees asking ALL to vote for a date (June 2 or June 4, 2009) for our first formation meeting. So far June 4 is winning.... We would like ALL to attend if possible. WE NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

May 15, 2009 - Attorney consulted on review of By Laws as written. All Good!

May 14, 2009 - Agenda, suggested By Laws, Chapter Affiliation paperwork and Chapter Press Release written.

May 14, 2009 - received final packet from AAPA National regarding affiliation docs that will be needed at first formation meeting.

May 13, 2009 - Sent email to all who expressed interest in assisting with the formation of this chapter to pre-advise of the upcoming meeting.

May 4, 2009 - Sent a thank you and update to all who took the formation survey.

May 4, 2009 - First set of survey results in from our mentor chapter in Washington D.C. - Great results and huge interest so far!

April 17, 2009 - Complete list of members received from APA National and another round of emails/surveys went out.

April 16, 2009 - Offer of support/advise received from the Director of Payroll, Tax Compliance and Reporting of Childrens Hospital in Chicago (a Not-For-Profit organization). This will come in handy!

April 15, 2009 - Incorporation paperwork for Illinois NFP started.

April 11, 2009 - Met with the members of the Chicago Chapter-APA Board of Directors and asked the board for their support in the formation. The Chicago chapter agrees to provide whatever assistance they can to grow this very exciting new entity.

April 7, 2009 - Emailed and requested information on Tax filing and incorporating your Chapter from Taunya Fritzsching the National APA guru on this subject.

April 7, 2009 - First surveys emailed out to members of the National APA Members and National AAPA Members.

April 6, 2009 - - Website is now up!

April 4, 2009 - Support was approved by the National AAPA Chapter Relations Manager. AAPA National agrees to assist Chicago Chapter in moving forward with formation.

April 4, 2009 - Formally requested National APA and National AAPA member database to spread the news locally.

March 26, 2009 - Received instructions from National AAPA with initial approval to move forward. Assigned APA Champ's Mentor - Dan Dycus from the Washington Metro Area Chapter.

March 25, 2009 - Emails sent to National AAPA Requesting Information and assistance to form AAPA Chicago Chapter

March 21, 2009 - Discussions were started with the Chicago APA Chapter regarding interest in coordinating an APA/AAPA sisterhood.

February 2009 - Interest was shown on the starting of this new AAPA local chapter.
